Eficaz is Latin for effective and efficient which are the core principals of Eficaz Consulting (formerly Eficaz Recruiting). Founded in 2017 by best seller author Helen Li, Helen saw a big cultural gap in understanding the needs of Chinese businesses and Chinese business owners operating in Australia, and the huge demand for Human Resources (HR) expertise to assist those businesses.
With an initial focus on recruitment services for job seekers and employers, in 2019 Eficaz Consulting shifted its focus to offer full-service HR solutions to serve SME (Small to Medium Enterprises) Chinese and Australian business. This answered the huge demand in Human Resource expertise from Chinese businesses who enter the Australia market and face the challenge to learn about Australian Industrial Relations and Employment Law, establish procedures and systems to managing a diverse workforce, and attract and hire quality talent.

Helen saw a need for capital by small to medium businesses to prepare for going public on a stock exchange, such as the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) or in the US market. So she works at raising capital for them from private equity funds or strategic partnerships through her access to high-net-worth investors.
Helen also works to fast track the development of SME businesses in both Australia and China. She introduces and connects them to the right sales channels In China, based on her strong connections with a number of state governments. It takes in-depth knowledge of how businesses operate in both countries to be able to facilitate these connections. Helen knows the local business practices, regulations, and cultural differences of both countries
Helen’s expertise in buying and selling businesses ranging from $1million to $200 million covers industries such as property development, food and services, aged care facilities, healthcare (medical centres, pharmacies, NDIS) accessories, jewellery brands, and artworks.
Helen has strong connections to high net worth investors, and overseas investment funds from the Middle East to mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and India. These give her the power to source great business opportunities for them – and for you.

Helen is the main point of contact for delegation tours from a number of Chinese provinces to Australia. These tours bring high net worth business people, entrepreneurs, and some with academic and technology research backgrounds, from China to Australia.
Helen ensures tour members are introduced to and connect with local Australian businesses to facilitate their collaboration on projects, and explore investment opportunities for both countries.

Helen Li is driven by a desire to help businesses become successful. Whether it’s recruiting the right staff for them, raising capital for small to medium sized (SME) businesses, facilitating connections to sales opportunities in both China and Australia, or buying and selling businesses, Helen brings her formidable knowledge, strategic ability, and professionalism to each scenario.
When she immigrated to Australia in 2008 from Northeast China, Helen studied at Sydney University, where she graduated with a Master of Commerce in Human Resources.
She then worked across a range of industries, including franchising, IT, consulting, architecture, and construction. She also provided HR Project services to the NSW state government.
Helen went on to found a recruiting company, Eficaz Consulting Pty. Ltd., to provide high-quality candidates and business consulting for Australian and global clients.
